Sea Fishing on the Little Belt

The Little Belt is one of the most popular fishing waters on the Danish east coast. Halk Strand Camping is right by the water, so you can walk straight from your caravan to the beach and cast your line.

Sea trout and cod

The waters are known for their rich marine life, especially sea trout and cod. You can fish from the shore or from a boat, and Haderslev Fjord is close by with even more good fishing spots.

Fishing licence

To fish in the sea in Denmark you need a Danish fishing licence if you are between 18 and 65 years old. It can easily be bought online as a day, week or year licence. Please also observe closed seasons and minimum sizes.

Your base for fishing trips

After fishing you can prepare your catch in our large shared kitchen and enjoy it on the terrace. The shop has the essentials for the day, and at reception we are happy to give tips on fishing spots in the area.

When do the sea trout bite?

Many coastal anglers particularly appreciate spring and autumn, when sea trout are often close to the shore.

Equipment and accommodation

Please bring your own fishing gear. You can stay on a pitch with electricity, in the mobile home or in a rental caravan.

Fishing spots around Halk

You can fish directly from the beach at the campsite. Haderslev Fjord and the harbour in Årøsund are also close by and popular with anglers.
