Camping with Kids in Denmark – Family Holidays on the Baltic Sea

Halk Strand Camping is a family-friendly campsite in Southern Jutland, right on the Little Belt. Children play on the beach, at the playground or on the mini golf course while the adults enjoy the view across the water.

Play, fun and new friends

The campsite has two outdoor playgrounds and two indoor play rooms, so there is plenty to do on rainy days too. Older children meet on the sports field for football or volleyball, at the table tennis table or on our moon cars. A round of mini golf is fun for the whole family.

Blue Flag beach

Our beach is right next to the campsite and holds the Blue Flag for clean bathing water and safety. Here you can swim, play and stroll along the water’s edge.

Shared experiences

During the season there are activities such as baking twist bread over the fire, communal barbecues on the terrace and bingo. The family can cook together in the shared kitchen with terrace, and the campsite shop sells ice cream, sweets and fresh breakfast rolls on pre-order.

A short drive from the border

Halk Strand Camping is only about 60 km from the Danish-German border, so the journey is short – even with small children in the car.

Day trips for the whole family

On rainy days a trip to Haderslev with the Dampark, pedal boats and museums is a good choice, and the short ferry crossing to the island of Årø is an adventure for children.

Tips for your family holiday

Order breakfast rolls in the shop the day before, bring your bikes for the many cycle routes in the area and pack rain gear – then you are ready for both sunshine and showers on the Little Belt.
